Started work on a new game concept. A top down cyber shooter with a randomly generated map based on premade rooms. Giving a large variation of map layouts. After 8 hours this is what I’ve got. What have I done! Not so long ago I started playing around with the Physics Thrusters inside of @UnrealEngine This quickly took a sharp turn down the rabbit hole. Now I have a fully real-time simulated Falcon 9 that launches from the @SpaceX Launch Pad Complex. Not only was I able to stream in the world using the Cesium plugin. Thrust, Mass, Velocity is all calculated during runtime using information freely available on the internet. Even the effect or drag is calculated with the use of curves to simulate how it would change based on the altitude and speed of the vehicle. I have never done so many calculations on a single game object. All staging happens automatically using the calculated data. This meant I had a lot of failures, but this was one fun experiment. I am truly happy with the outcome of this project. I am astonished with accuracy of the UE5 engine and the Chaos Physics system created by Epic Games. It might not be the next Kerbal Space Program but it's still something great. Note: Vehicle Blueprint is visible at the end of the video. I can't believe its been over two years since I started this project. Now I am so close to releasing it on steam for people to play. There has been many hurdles and I learned so much with all the obstacles that came my way. Making a game from scratch isn't easy, but it sure is fun. I am glad I went with Unreal Engine, as a 3D Artist, Unreal Engine allowed me to problem solve using a whiteboard and some simple phrases. It's such an amazing piece of software. I found new ways to look as problems and how to solve them. I learned ways to future proof my setups for any future functionality. Overall I am happy with what I created. I just need to crunch a bit more to get the levels done. But here is a short clip showing the intro and main menu for my game Redline Racing!

It's been a couple of months and we have been hard at work to bring the game close to its release build. We are working hard on getting the final world build so that we can set up each of the time trials. There is still a lot to do but we are pushing to release in June.
